How your fundraising can help:

Support us
  • £4 can pay for a pack of baby grows
  • £5 can pay for food for a woman and her child who have just escaped violence and have no money
  • £7 can pay for a travel card so a woman can visit her solicitor, attend a key work session or go to one of our workshops
  • £13 can pay for a starter pack (toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, towel, soap, deodorant) for a woman when she escapes and comes to one of Eaves’ services
  • £15 can pay for a holistic treatment for a woman trafficked into prostitution – a gentle means of helping her heal from physical and emotional trauma 
  • £20 can pay for a winter jacket to keep a baby warm
  • £40 can pay for a duvet, pillows and bed sheets for a woman who comes to Eaves.
  • £90 can pay for a bed for a woman who has escaped violence but has no money to furnish her house
  • £120 can pay for a woman who has experienced sexual violence, domestic violence or trafficking to attend a six-week group therapy course. 
  • £200 can pay for training to help a woman rebuild her life and learn new skills.
  • £300 can pay for accommodation and subsistence for a victim of violence and their children for one week
  • £1820 can pay for counselling services for one year so a woman can begin to overcome the trauma she has experienced

Fundraising for Eaves does not need to be fancy, big or super creative; it just needs to raise money to help some of the most vulnerable individuals in society. The ideas are endless, from holding a bake sale, auction or a raffle, to car washing, sporting events and even sky diving. Here are some ways that people have raised money for us in the past …

In the office

Ways to give

Please promote Eaves to your friends, families, external colleagues and encourage fundraising whenever you can. Individuals can support Eaves through:

  • Sponsored events – name Eaves as your chosen charity for sponsorship. We are a member of online fundraising facility www.justgiving.co.uk where you can set up your own fundraising page online for free. Please download our sponsorship form (link) and please ask your sponsors to tick the Gift Aid box (if relevant) to increase the value of your donation.
  • One-off or regular credit / debit card donations – please remember to Gift Aid your online donation by ticking the relevant box. Or please send in a Gift Aid declaration (link) with all cheque donations if you would like us to reclaim the tax you’ve already paid to your donation.
  • Company Payroll Giving Schemes or Give As You Earn (GAYE) – you can donate by deducting an amount from your gross pay (pre-tax). Talk to your payroll department to see if you can contribute to charity via GAYE and the tax man will meet part of your donation. Gifts in kind

We gratefully accept items which are new or in very good condition, such as toys, toiletries, towels, prams, blankets, clothes for women, children and babies etc. Unfortunately we are not able to collect items. Please contact us if you’d like to make a donation.
